JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Self-Declaration Form: Why It Is Mandatory

JEE Main 2026 Session 2

Synopsis:

Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination must fulfil the administrative compliance requirements set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Of them, the self-declaration form is mandatory. It is the candidate's legal obligation to ensure compliance with the NTA exam integrity and essential health protocols. Whoever signs the self-declaration form is medically fit and shall comply with the safety and security arrangements at the examination centre.

NTA's Laid Condition:

Every candidate who appears for session 2 from April 2 to 8 must complete the self-declaration form available on the front page of the Admit Card. Failing to do so, the candidate shall not be allowed entry into the examination hall.  So, it is mandatory to complete the official formalities laid down by NTA.

What is the self-declaration form on the Admit Card?

Candidates appearing for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 must carry their admit card to the examination hall for entry. Beyond that, NTA has included an important clause requiring completion of the self-declaration form on the admit card and the signing of the declaration form in the presence of an invigilator. Which means the self-declaration form should be available on the front page of the admit card, and if the details are improperly filled in, the candidate shall not be permitted to enter the premises. NTA has made it mandatory to sign the self-declaration form in the presence of security personnel at the exam entry point only.

Essentials of JEE Main Session 2  Self-declaration form

  1. The candidate is advised to check the details on the admit card and their relevance to the details provided in the application form.

  2. The candidate must mark the checkbox for the health declaration as per the instructions. If the candidate hasn't suffered from the mentioned health factors in the last 14 days, the checkbox can be left blank.

  3. The candidate must mark the checkbox in the travel history section if they have travelled to any other city or country in the past 14 days, from April 2 to April 8.

  4. The Candidate must fix the passport-size photograph in the designated box of the admit card. The photo on the admit card must match the photo uploaded in the application form.

  5. The candidate must use the left-hand thumb impression in the specified space, ensuring it is clear and legible.

  6. The candidate must sign the self-declaration form in the presence of the invigilator.

Be Careful, keep an eye on the mentioned facts:

  1. Never sign in advance while filling out the self-declaration form. Otherwise, you will have to create a new copy for signing in the presence of the invigilator.

  2. The candidate must never display a digital copy of the admit card on a smartphone. Rather, should disclose the printed copy of the admit card.

  3. The candidate should never change the photo on the admit card, but use the photo that matches the uploaded photo at the time of JEE Main 2026 Session 2.

  4. The thumb impression should be flagged during verification, so the candidate must never smudge it.

  5. The admit card comprises a couple of pages, and the candidate is advised to carry the complete downloaded admit card.
