JEE Main 2026 Registration

Every year, the National Testing Agency, NTA, opens the correction window of JEE Main for the registered aspirants to make corrections if applicable. Likewise, this year too, NTA has announced the correction date for JEE Main 2026 forms, which shall open on 01 Dec and close on 02 Dec (11:50 PM). The registered applicants are advised to visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in and enter the correction window as it will be open for the stipulated period. 

Note: 

The candidate is allowed to correct the registration form once. The web portal shall decline any later attempts to make changes. Therefore, the candidate should exercise caution while editing the registered form online.  The candidate should note that the NTA shall issue the JEE Main 2026 - Admit Card only if the details on the registration form are true and accurate. 

Registration Process Until 29 November 2025:

The NTA conducts sessions 1 and 2 exams every year, and the registration window for session 1 was kept open from October 31 to November 27. The authority hasn’t extended the registration dates, so any candidate who has missed registering for Session 1 will have to wait until the Session 2 registration window opens. 

In 2025, the total number of registrations on record for JEE Main Session 01 was 13,11,544, and this year, the registered students are 14,50,000, representing an increase of 1000,00, certainly a record registration. NTA has given two days to make corrections to the JEE Main 2026 applicants, and the correction procedure is mentioned below. 

Correction Procedure of JEE Main 2026 Registration Form:

  1. An applicant must visit the JEE Main website @jeemain.nta.nic.in 

  2. The applicant must use the created login credentials by filling out the application number and password. 

  3. The applicant must click on the (modify details /correction in application form) link. 

  4. The applicant should make the necessary changes in the fields.  

  5. Once the application has been edited, the applicant must review the changes and submit the form. 

  6. The applicant must download and print a copy of the corrected form for reference. 



Important Note: 

An applicant will be charged with an additional payment for the following changes if made. They are a category, an addition of papers, a change in exam city abroad. 

Application Fields Where Corrections Are Allowed: 

An applicant is permitted to edit the details for correction as mentioned below:

Details that can be edited during the form correction:

          1. Candidate Name (or) Father's Name (or) Mother's Name, & Mobile Number. 
          2. Educational Qualification Details of Class 10 and 12, Email Address, State Code of Eligibility, and present or Permanent Address.
          3. In addition, Date of Birth, Emergency Contact Details, Gender, Photograph of Candidate, Category, Sub-category/PwD, Signature, and Paper.  
          4. Moreover, exam city selection and medium of examination based on the permanent /present address cannot be edited. 

          Summary:

          Applicants who have wrongly entered the essential details can edit their mistakes as per the notification released by NTA. An applicant can make necessary corrections through the designated official website. NTA has released the correction dates, from December 1 to December 2 (11:50 PM). Applicants are advised to enter the corrections properly, as they will not be permitted to make any further corrections.
