JEE Main 2026 Session 2 two-day correction window notification update

Synopsis:

In response to the representations made by the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 applicants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has allotted two days, from February 27 to February 28 (up to 11:50 pm), for candidates to make corrections in their application forms. NTA cautions candidates to remain alert and make the necessary corrections; otherwise, NTA shall not permit candidates to make additions or modifications thereon. The following lines underline the important information for editions and modifications in brief. 

Important points of remembrance: Candidates of JEE Main 2026 Session 2: One-time facility 

  1. The application correction facility is extended to all candidates who applied as fresh candidates in session 2, including those appearing for the second time. The allotment days are February 27 and 28 (11:50 pm)

  2. Candidates applying for the first time in Session 2 must be careful when filling out the application form, as it is a correction window. The candidate is cautioned not to make incorrect entries, and once the application is submitted, it shall be frozen. 

  3. Wherever necessary, an additional fee will apply, and the fee is completely non-refundable.  


Areas of Correction Permissible for the two types of JEE Main 2026 Candidates:

  1. Corrections apply to two categories of candidates, existing candidates and new candidates applying for Session 2:

  2. Existing candidate: 

    1. These candidates can edit the application changes previously registered during session 1, which ran from 31 October to 27 November 2025, and continue to apply for session 2 as well. The areas where candidates can make corrections are as follows:

      1. Course Paper, medium of question paper, state code eligibility, exam cities, educational qualifications ( Class 10th & Class 12th), the gender, category and fee payment if applicable. The only field that is not allowed to access is the Aadhaar Card

      2. The candidate may access and edit the mentioned fields only after the fee payment process is complete. 

  3. New Entrant Candidates for JEE Main 2026 Session 2: 

    1. During the correction window period, a candidate who has enrolled for Session 2 can change the following fields, and they can be listed as follows:

  4. Educational qualifications such as Class 10th and 12th, State code eligibility, date of birth/gender, category, PwD, and signature & paper. 

  5. First-time candidates can change their present address, examination city, and examination medium.

    1. Candidates can change their identity details, provided they are not Aadhaar Card details.
