Synopsis:

National Testing Agency informs the candidates by means of an information bulletin and public notification dated March 11, 2026, that the correction option remains open for two days, through which the exam participants can correct or modify the posted errors as per the instructions released in Annexure-1 in the online application form for NEET -UG 2026. The lines below provide comprehensive details.



According to the latest updates available in the NTA's notice column, the agency has reopened the NEET 2026 registration link for three consecutive days, March 12, 13, and 14, 2026. It is allowing aspirants to make corrections if necessary. After which, the aspirants' registration forms shall be frozen, and no further changes shall be permitted. These changes are allowed in principle, in accordance with the NTA guidelines, which shall conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) -2026 on May 03, 2026 (Sunday). Further, the NTA notifies that the NEET shall be conducted in offline, pen-and-paper mode across various centres nationwide and abroad. The official correction period on the NTA web portal is from March 12 (12:00 hrs) to March 14 (23:50hrs). Candidates are advised to make corrections as quickly as possible within the stipulated time. Further, the NTA has cautioned that no further opportunity will be given in this regard, so candidates should utilise it properly.

Important Note:

Candidates who need to make corrections to the application forms will have to pay an additional fee; corrections will be permitted only after payment. If a candidate makes an excessive fee payment, the fee shall not be refunded. If there is an impact on the correction fee, then the changes will be allowed only after the payment of such fees. The NTA web portal allows only one-time corrections in the application form. 

Corrections in the fields of Application that are Permissible:

  1. Candidates are permitted to make changes in any of these two fields. namely Father name, qualification, and occupation, & mother name, qualification, and occupation. 

  2. Based on the candidate's current and permanent address, changes may be made to the city exam centre and the examination medium. 

  3. The candidates can edit any of these fields, such as Educational qualification details (Class X and Class XII), State/UT from which 12th/Equivalent was passed/appearing, category, subcategory/PwD, signature, and number of attempts in NEET(UG).

  4. Candidates will be permitted to edit the identity details only if it is before the Aadhaar Card.
