Designed and developed over the AI modules, NTA has initiated novel ways to make the NEET aspirants feel comfortable by conducting practice samples (mock tests). These tests simulate real-time scenarios, making the aspirant feel confident and improving accuracy and perfection for the real exam.
The NTA has taken measures exclusively by introducing a separate page for the student community and encouraging them to practice to score high with confidence in NEET 2026. There are many benefits to attempting the mock sample papers, listed below, along with official links and suggestions for taking NTA's NEET mock tests.
An aspirant must visit the NTA's quiz portal.
The aspirant must select the NEET exam from the dropdown list.
Select Exam: Choose "NEET" from the dropdown list.
The aspirant must click the start mock test button and remember that they can enter the sample test module directly without using the formal registration credentials.
The login pages are auto-filled for practice purposes.
The sample mock test on the NTA web portal will include the exam pattern expected to appear in the final NEET examination paper.
The NEET paper will comprise 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and each aspirant should attempt at least 180 questions within the stipulated time of 3 hours and 20 minutes.
The question paper will have a subject distribution in which questions from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry will be worth 90, 45, and 45 marks, respectively.
The sample question paper shall be evaluated online using the NEET standard scheme. It will award +4 for a correct answer and -1 mark for an incorrect one.
The NTA will provide an OMR-style practice display that represents the offline paper-pencil-based test, PBT.
Experts say the level of toughness of NEET 2026 will be the same as in 2021, 2022, 2023, & 2024. The physics paper will be easy to moderate, and in Biology, there will be at least 2 to 3 questions out of the NCERT books, although the rest will be from the NCERT books. The organic chemistry will be direct questions and not on mechanisms.
While practising previous year's question papers, the aspirants are advised to solve at least 10 JEE Main and NEET question papers, and JEE Advanced question papers can be skipped.
By doing so, the aspirants can understand the type of questions that may occur in the main exam. However, one must realise that no new patterns shall evolve, and the question shall be repetitive, and that is for sure.
The experts ask the aspirants to solve at least 40 to 50 practice tests to face examination pressure confidently and hassle-free.
