Synopsis:
With the completion of the first three days of the JEE Main 2026 exams on January 21, 22, & 23, NTA has released statistical data confirming a massive 96.5% turnout. The increasing number of JEE exam participants indicates that more and more intermediate students are inclining towards professional engineering streams. In fact, the JEE Main exam, which began on January 21, shall finish on January 29. However, one can find the description of the paper's difficulty for every subject. Remember, whatever the difficulty level has been so far, one cannot reach a conclusion about the difficulty level in subsequent exams using this derived information.
According to the media sources, as many as 14 lakh JEE aspirants have registered for the JEE Main 2026 examination.
To date, the total number of candidates who have appeared for JEE Main in three days was 7,70,441 out of 8,01,326, which aggregates to 96.15% participation. The NTA officials complimented the state and district authorities and appreciated the discipline maintained by the attending candidates during the examination.
On every shift during these three days, Mathematics required strong time management.
During these days, Physics maintained a moderate pace, and the questions that appeared were concept-oriented.
In these shifts, the chemistry aligned with the NCERT, which can lead to high scores in almost all sessions.
The candidate must download the admit card and check the exam date, shift, centre, reporting time, and gate closing time.
The candidate must reach the exam centre on time.
The candidate must bring the admit card, an original photo ID card, and a passport-size photo.
Candidates who have not authenticated with the Aadhaar should appear for biometric verification.
Candidates who are suffering from Diabetes may carry a medicine kit as per the examiner's instructions.
Candidates can carry a transparent water bottle.
Don't:
NTA doesn't allow the carrying of watches, electronic devices, paper, food, or drinking water bottles into the examination hall.
Important Note:
The JEE Main 2026 exam is completely computer-based, and every candidate is under strict CCTV surveillance.
Candidates will be subjected to strict action if they are liable to commit any irregularities.
