KNRUHS Opens Admissions for NEET 2026 Qualifiers in TG: Updates

Synopsis: 

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has opened Round 1 for NEET qualifiers in Telangana from August 05 (6:00 am) to August 12 (6:00 pm), and the dates for the remaining Round 2, Round 3 (Mop-up), and the Stray Round are yet to be released. These rounds will be aligned with the MCC's Central level medical admissions. However, the information below defines the registration process, including filling, locking, seat allocation, results, and reporting. It also explains the retention and free exit of the allotted seats in Round 1. 

Important Note:

1. The candidates' documents are verified thoroughly, and the eligible candidates who match the criteria shall be placed in the provisional State merit position. 

2. Although the candidate submits the essential documents at the time of the online registration process, the allotted college shall make it mandatory to verify the physical copy. 

3. Candidates, while filling in the registration form, shall have to upload the following documents: NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 certificate, Intermediate or equivalent marks memo, study certificates, transfer certificate and Aadhaar card—community, minority, EWS, income, and special-category certificates, wherever applicable.

4. The candidate should write details in the registration form and upload scanned original copies. This process is conducted only once and is applicable in all rounds. 

5. The candidate must fulfil all the obligations, such as filling the application, uploading mandatory certificates, photographs, and the proper signature. Otherwise, the application shall be automatically rejected. 

6. The candidate should register and pay the online processing fee, and the fee amount is non-refundable. The fee is fixed at various levels: OC & BC candidates (₹4,000) and SC & ST candidates (₹3,200). The fee can be paid through any financial instrument, such as a debit card or net banking.

NEET 2026 Counselling for Telangana State-level Medical Seats

Any NEET-qualified candidate must follow the two-stage process to exercise their web options, which is essential for admission to a medical college. 

NEET 2026-qualified candidates who are applying for a medical seat should be among the open merit-list candidates issued by the MCC for admission allotments in Telangana. Candidates can verify their eligibility by checking the provisional list delivered by the MCC to the NEET qualifiers in Telangana. 

Note:

Only after completion of the NEET registration process online are candidates eligible to exercise their web options. 

Registration and Web options on the State-level TS Medical Portal:

Stage One: 

1. The candidate must visit the Official Portal: tsmedadm.tsche.in.

2. The candidate must verify personal details, such as mobile and email address, and then enter the relevant details. 

3. The candidate must enter the NEET details: roll number, rank, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID, and verify the details using the OTP sent to the phone and email. 

4. After completing the registration process, the candidate must complete the payment process to pay the processing fee. 

5. Depending on the category, the candidate must remit the processing fee. After successful payment, the web portal shall deliver a registration number to the candidate's mobile phone and email address. 

6. The candidate must upload scanned copies of the original certificates in the certificates upload module. 

7. Once the candidate completes the uploading of documents, they must submit the registration form and take a printout of the application or save it as a PDF copy. 

Stage 2:

1. On the web portal, the candidate must click on "Web Counselling" or "Web Options Entry".

2. After entering the web link, enter the login details using your NEET Roll Number, Registration Number, NEET Rank, and OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

3. The candidate must select the preferences from the list of available medical and dental colleges, and maintain the order of priority strictly. 

4. The candidate must save, lock and print the web options. Once the candidate decides on the order of preferences, they must click the lock options before the assigned deadline. 

5. On confirming an OTP, the candidate's locking option shall be confirmed. The candidate must take a printout of the locked web option for reference. 

Key rules for NEET 2026 Qualifiers in Telangana: 

1. Retention Rule: 

1. A candidate joins a college but also wants to try for a better one (upgrade); he can attempt Round 2. In such a case, their seat in the joined college is retained. It means that the candidate is in the safe zone. 

2. A candidate, after joining the college, is satisfied with it and doesn't want to progress further into Round 2, or say upgrade, then the college joined in the first round is finalised. 

2. Free Exit rule:

1. A candidate who doesn't join the allotted college and never makes a fee payment before the reporting deadline shall have their seat automatically cancelled. It will be considered as free exit. But remember, fresh rules apply for Round 2 counselling participation. 

2. A candidate joins the college but wants to quit the college before the second round begins; it can be done, but once the second round begins, the candidate is not eligible to apply. If done so, the candidate shall be barred from the admission process. 

Conclusion:

The NEET 2026 state-level has just begun in Telangana. The remaining Rounds are yet to be declared, but they run in conjunction with the MCC counselling for central-level medical colleges. For the time being, August 12 (6:00 pm) is considered to be the closing time for fee payment. It is advised that every candidate who applies for the Telangana NEET 2026 must validate the MCC state-level rank list of candidates before applying for web options.
