The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made an official announcement of the awaited registration dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) online application. The examination schedule for JEE Main Session 1 & 2 has been released recently. According to reliable sources, online JEE registration is expected to commence in the last week of October 2025, and the same information is circulating online. In the lines mentioned below, you can find common errors caused by applicants when filling out applications, and how NTA comes into effect to solve the discrepancies that arise in filling out the online applications. JEE Mains 2026 is a national-level examination that allows various boards and schools to apply for JEE examinations. Here, you can learn how many streams of 10 plus 2 study after 10 are eligible to appear for the JEE examination, and you can find complete details at the NTA official Website.
When filling out the application form, any improper entry of facts can lead to the rejection of the application. The most common discrepancy observed is the applicant’s personal information.
NTA verifies the details in the application form with the Aadhaar card. If the applicant’s details do not match the Aadhaar card details, the application gets rejected automatically.
In case the applicant's details do not match the Aadhaar Card details, NTA has issued an option to rectify the discrepancy. But how? NTA has released a notification for the JEE Mains applicants. The notification surfaced on the net on November 06, 2024. The notification is made available on the JEE Main website, and the relevant information is available at “Advisory and Instructions on Aadhaar Card Name Mismatch while filling up application form for JEE (Main) 2025,” which will also be applicable for JEE (Main) - 2026.
NTA had asked students to update their Aadhaar Cards to match the available details in their tenth-class marks memo. It was said to avoid the rejection of applications when the personal information differs from that mentioned in Aadhaar. This issue was interpreted negatively by the JEE aspirants, and a huge outcry was observed online. However, NTA issued the intent behind such notification. Coming to the current issue, here is the list of boards and schools that are eligible for the JEE Mains entrance exam.
