A tentative announcement about the Telangana State intermediate board’s examination of first and second year students is making the rounds online. If so, then why should it bother Resonites! The answer to it is never! Through the 2-year intermediate program, Resonites are trained to balance their academic curriculum with the IIT-JEE and NEET curricula. With the announcement of the intermediate’s tentative examination dates, Resonites should not panic or consider it a hurdle. It may cause panic to some as these exam dates can be discomforting. Usually, these issues are faced by every aspirant when planning for competitive exams. The best way out is to talk to their seniors and mentors and manage time effectively. You must never ignore warning signals, be alert, and follow mentors’ guidance.
2-year intermediate program are measured in two parts, theory and practicals, both of which are conducted separately. The intermediate examination board conducts practicals before the theoretical examination.
The proposed timetable for the academic year 2025-26 can be illustrated as follows:
Practical exams for the first and second year will be conducted between February 1 and 20, 2026. The board’s theoretical examinations shall be conducted between March 5 and March 25, 2026, and the examinations will be in April 2026.
For some reason, students may opt for supplementary exams to improve their grades, which will be held between May and the early days of June 2026.
Duration of exams & gaps between two exams:
The examination timetable will illustrate that the theory exams are conducted during morning sessions, between 9:00 am and 12 noon, for a period of 3 hours.
Practical exams are conducted in two sessions daily, morning (9:00 am - 12 noon) & afternoon (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm).
Additional exam papers, such as environmental education, ethics & human values, are scheduled separately and are conducted on a single day.
Every year, JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is conducted during the last week of January, and Session 2 is held in the last week of May or the first week of April. When you decide to write the JEE Main in session 2, you will have less time to revise for the JEE Main syllabus, as a significant portion of time is spent on the TS board’s 2nd year intermediate examinations.
How to handle JEE Main Revisions during TS Intermediate Examinations? (TGBIE)
Keep yourself calm during the final year intermediate examination and concentrate on academic subjects, as these scores do matter in your educational journey.
When you begin to handle the JEE Mains syllabus during this period, you must cover the high-weightage topics and never begin preparations of newer topics, which you have never dealt with. At the same time, allot sufficient time for academic preparation and never neglect your regular second-year intermediate curriculum.
Conclusion:
Although your goals are beyond the intermediate level academics, your planning for the intermediate 2nd year must be meticulously done. If you take a closer look at the JEE Main exams, sessions 01 and 02 are held in the last week of January 2026 and in the first week of April 2026. You must plan your academic calendar and JEE Main 2026 revision calendar independently; the scheduled plan of both calendars should never overlap.
Students must discuss the scheduled calendar with their personal mentors for a steady flow of preparations in a hassle-free manner. However, students at Resonance are taught to revise their intermediate subjects regularly from the beginning of the academic calendar year, so such interruptions should no longer bother them. Students should be attentive as the Telangana Board of Intermediate will release the exam dates in December every year. So, be mentally prepared to face such a situation, as their seniors have experienced similarly. To share some interesting news about the Resonance Colleges in Hyderabad, 3 out of every 4 students have secured a merit seat in IIT-JEE and NEET.
